Winter Series Early Bib Pick-Up and Registration

Saturday November 11th from 9:00am until 12:00pm at the OSS Health main entrance. Please stop by if you are available to pick up your bibs and/or register for the Winter Series. Avoid the lines and rush at the Dover 10 Miler. You may pick up bibs for other runners.


2018 Executive Committee

Elections for the 2018 Executive Committee will take place at the upcoming meeting on November 13, 2017 at 6:00pm in the Lehr Conference Room at the downtown York YMCA and that the nominees are as follows:

  • President: Karen Mitchell
  • Vice President: Margaret Moore
  • Treasurer: Matt Neff
  • Secretary: Sully Pinos

Looking for ideas to complete community service volunteer hours or simply wish to do something good by giving back to your community? YRRC has fun opportunities for you and your family! Choose from volunteering at a Winter Series race, picking up litter for our spring and fall Adopt a Highway clean up, serving on a committee, and more! YRRC Board Meetings

YRRC Board Meetings are held at 6:00 pm on the second Monday of odd-numbered months. Unless noted otherwise, our meetings are held in the Loucks Room of the downtown York YMCA (90 N Newberry St, York). All YRRC members are welcome to attend.

Meeting dates for the remainder of 2017 are planned for November 13. The 2018 meetings will be held on Janurary 8, March 12, May 14, July 9, September 10, and November 12.


Newsletter Submission Dates

Angie Neff is our new Newsletter Editor (email angie.neff@verizon.net), so all submissions should be sent to her. The deadlines for submitting running-related articles, photographs, or other content for YRRC's quarterly newsletter are:

  • Winter: December 15
  • Spring: March 15
  • Summer: June 15
  • Fall: September 15

Adopt-A-Highway

YRRC has been faithfully picking up litter alongside Grantley Road every spring and fall since 1994. Our Fall Adopt a Highway clean up will be held on Saturday, October 21 at 7:00am. We will be meeting in the Apple Hill Medical Center parking lot alongside Monument Road. Please wear brightly colored and/or reflective clothing for increased visibility. Trash bags and gloves will be provided.
