Where to Run

York County is home to an amazing variety of well-maintained trails! We’ve got a marathon worth of flat, crushed stone rail trail, some of the gnarliest river-side rocky vert, and everything in between.

Rocky Ridge County Park

Ninety percent of the 750-acre Rock Ridge Park is a mature oak forest. Rocky Ridge was acquired in 1968, making it the first county park.

William Kain County Park

AKA “The Lakes”

Established in 1977, William H. Kain County Park consists of 1,637 acres and 2 lakes, Lake Williams (220 acres) and Lake Redman (290 acres). The park is made possible through a 50 year lease agreement between the County of York and The York Water Company.
