Where should I park?
Parking is plentiful in Downtown York. There are 1,260 garage parking spaces and 350 on-street parking meters in our downtown area. The best and most up-to-date parking information may be obtained from York’s Downtown, Inc.
What size t-shirt should I order?
First, our shirts are awesome! We train and race in them and they perform terrifically as a base layer during the winter or solo during the summer. And we wear ours when we’re not even running! We’re ordering locally this year and the shirts seem to have a fairly typical fit. We’ll be ordering two weeks prior to our event, so be sure to register early enough. And – we let you decide whether you want to order a shirt.
Will there be bathrooms at the race start/finish?
Yes. We have use of the restaurant restroom facilities and will arrange for port-a-potties.
What if there is rain, snow, hail, flooding, or frogs?
We race! The event will be held rain or shine. If there is thunder, hail and/or lightning we may need to postpone the start of the event until it passes. Flooding and/or frogs….. well let’s just hope that is not an issue. The only reason we would cancel the race is if local officials required us to do so. (That hasn’t happened for the first 43 years of the event.)
Will there be a place for my stuff while I race?
There is plenty of space in and around the parking area at the White Rose. Or simply park nearby and leave your stuff in your car.
Is there a minimum age for this event?
Nope. But we ask that anyone under the age of eight be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
How does the Team Challenge scoring work?
Basically, it scores like a traditional cross country meet. But you can learn more about the specifics on the Team Challenge menu tab.
Can I run with my dog?
Sorry, although we love dogs, our course through the city is not appropriate for bringing your dog.
Can I push a running stroller with my child?
Absolutely! The York White Rose Run is a family-friendly event. So bring the whole family! Further, we so encourage parents to run with their kids that we’ve created a stroller division award. How cool is that?! The first male/female runner/stroller team will win a sweet York White Rose Run mug – forever showing off your stroller running skills. Running-specific strollers only, please. Racing can get expensive for my family. Can I get a break?
Yes! We get it; bringing the whole family to a race can get costly in a hurry. This is why we introduced youth pricing. Nineteen years and under get a $5 discount when they register on runsignup.
I am a York Road Runners Club member. Do I get a price break?
Yes, and when you register for the race on runsignup, the $5 price break will be reflected. Harrisburg Area Road Runners Club (HARRC) will also get an automatic $5 discount when they register on runsignup.
Is the post race party only for runners?
The post race party is for EVERYONE! Party on, Wayne. Party on, Garth.
What is the preferred registration method?
