Winter Series race number FOUR is in the books! Congrats to all of the 1 miler and 5 miler runners that navigated the twists and turns of the Rail Trail’s Northern extension. You can find the full list of results HERE. In the meantime, here are some numbers from race day…
63
The temperature in degrees Fahrenheit at the the start of the race. Not too shabby for January 2nd!
425
The approximate number of feet climbed LESS than the last race. However, the John Rudy course still had its tricky rollers, having a sneaky 150ish feet worth of climbing. Things will really flatten out at the next race!
381
The total number of finishers in the two races combined, which is a series best. I suspect the weather may have helped.
136 to 128
The number of female to male finishers in the main event. Way to keep getting at it, ladies!
12
The age of Leah Navarro. She was the second female finisher, and 25th overall in the 5 miler, clocking a very impressive time of 33:11. Watch out for this young lady!
29
The number of finishers in the 40-44 female age group, earning them a new series record and retention of the top spot.
8
The number of runners that still have a PERFECT series point total of 40, winning their respective age groups and earning 10 points for each race thus far. (We missed 2 of these folks last week.)
