Coach Hodge

I’m Brenda Hodge, founder of and the Facebook page RUN717, a resource for local runners. In 2013, I ran the former Bob Potts Marathon, completing it in 3:15:28. After training more seriously, I lowered my marathon time to 2:53:13 (2018). I consistently place at the top of my age group in major marathons, including second at the 2018 Boston Marathon.

I am an RRCA-certified running coach, and I have over four years of experience. I have helped more than a dozen runners qualify for Boston and helped more than a half-dozen people complete their first marathon.

I believe in a holistic approach to training, which not only includes running, but also nutrition, strength, flexibility, and mental attitude. I coach athletes of all abilities and I welcome your questions:
