YRRC is excited to be sponsoring the Sundance film Free to Run at SMALL STAR Art House! Catch original footage of trailblazers Steve Prefontaine, Fred Lebow, George Hirsch, Kathrine Switzer, and other legends in this inspiring documentary on the barrier breaking that led to marathon running's modern rise in popularity. SMALL STAR Art House is located at 232 W. Market Street, York PA 17401. Showings will be at 3:00, 5:30, and 7:30 pm on Friday, October 28 through Sunday, October 30, as well as Thursday, November 3. All YRRC members will receive 50% off the regular ticket price when you purchase your ticket in person. Non-members are also welcome to see the film at the regular price of $10 per ticket. The next clean-up is scheduled for October 15 at 7:00 am. Meet at the Apple Hill Medical Center.

Since 1994, the York Road Runners Club has faithfully been cleaning both sides of a 2 mile stretch of Grantley Road (between Country Club Rd., and George St.). Under the careful guidance of project initiators Jack Goodwin and Scott Madison, our commitment to keep the road clean has been met.

The job can be completed by 4 people and takes only an hour or two of your Sunday morning. If we each take a turn, we will only have to pick up once every 20 years. Please participate if you can.
